Walk-in interview for the position of Project Assistant IISER

A walk-in interview will be held for the position of a
Project Assistant to work in a Department of Science and Technology, Government
of India funded project titled “Assessment on niche specific oxygenic
photoautotrophic organisms for evaluation of Bhagirathi-Hooghly River basin
water quality: a biotic index based management proposal”. The project aims to
develop robust scientific framework using novel approaches for water quality
index in order to track anthropogenic pollution in the Bhagirathi-Hooghly River
basin. The project positions will be initially for a period of one year but can
be extended subject to satisfactory performance.
Essential qualifications: Highly motivated candidates with
M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Botany/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Environmental Sciences
with minimum 55% marks can apply for the position of Project Assistant.
NET/GATE qualified candidates would be preferred. Ability to design and conduct
field work activities along with evidence of research aptitude is highly
desirable. The salary will be Rs 22,000/- per month (consolidated) as per the
rules.
Interview: The walk-in interview will be held on 18th March,
2020 from 10 am in Room 229, TRC Building (JC Bose Research Complex), Mohanpur
