SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENT:
Laboratory Chemist is responsible for ensuring the product specification is correct in terms of gas & condensate quality, moisture/HC dew points, BS&W by sampling and analysis. He has specific responsibility for ensuring chemical stocks and rates are maintained at appropriate levels and that sample reports are communicated effectively.
Provide overall Laboratory Analytical services to OT, Sub-Sea and CRP Departments on Laboratory Quality management and contribute to time to time for operational problems related with quality or specificiaiton. Job Accountabilities (duties and responsibilities).
Act as area authority for the laboratory services, as defined operational procedures. Ensure laboratory standards and procedures on the FPSO are maintained in accordance with all relevant regulatory and company standards.
Preparation of Quality documents for IMS certification and Implementation of LIMS systems.
Carry Out Routine Sampling And Testing /Analysis Operation and maintain Safe And Healthy Conditions In the Working Environment.
Identify calibration requirements for Laboratory and field test equipment. Monitor adherence to calibration requirements. Monitor adherence to calibration requirements.
Follow continuous lab supervision and develop sampling schedules and ensure to meet the requirements as prepared and update the management of all deviations or feedback..
Co-ordinate and execute modifications of the laboratory and chemical injection systems in accordance with Design Change Requests. Also work together with operations to optimise the chemicals injection rates.
Ensure all chemical inventories, consumption update as per Production supervisor. Control Stocks Of Equipment, Materials And Chemicals Required For Laboratory And Plant
Impart bench Chemists trainings as per approved plan.
Ensure TQM requirements (Certification under ISO 9000, NABL Accreditation Calibration & Assurance).
Request specialised technical support as when required. Keep updating status with control panel. Maintain two way communication.
Unplanned discharges to the environment are identified, halted where possible, and reported according to policy, procedure and regulation. Relevant PPE is used to deal with unplanned discharges using company procedures.
