Portfolio Analyst:
Designation: Executive/Senior Executive
Experience: 3-6 Years
Job Description:
- Market research on competitive intelligence, therapeutic areas and company portfolio evaluation
- Identification of new products under clinical evaluation; Monitoring of Drug approvals and litigation updates
- Work with a cross-functional team through idea creation, selection, allocation of new products opportunities.
- Real time tracking of Portfolio products updates and any changes in market dynamics with respect to therapy area or IP landscape
- Forecasting and financial analysis for different dosage forms of short-listed products
- Portfolio Rationalization / Pipeline assessment
- Product valuation/business cases for pipeline that guide the strategic investment and portfolio management decisions (IRR, NPV, COGS)
- Management of Pharmaceutical Databases and experience in using IQVIA, IPD or Newport Databases
- Should have knowledge of financial modelling, Product Development, Regulatory and IP Affairs
- Good Interpersonal and Business Communication skills
- Hands on experience in working with MS office
Portfolio Analysis:

Job Description:
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacology wrt molecules mechanism of action, indication, dosage regime, side-effects etc. Identifying the gaps in the existing therapy/dosage regime and propose acceptable dosage forms and strengths which adds value to the existing drug product.
- Ability to understand and analyze molecule/products profile with proper justification of its pharmacological aspects. Ability to understand the drug product patent landscape and provide suggestions for the early entry market strategy with acceptable drug profile
- Good understanding of molecules pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics profile in relation to unmet need in the market and its potential market size estimation based on market share conversion
- Tracking & analysis of ongoing clinical trials (Phase I, II & III) of potential molecules/therapeutic segments. Knowledge of Incidence and prevalence of respective therapy area and market positioning of identified high value opportunities for market size estimates.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities wrt potential changes in existing dosage regime, targeted patient population, dosage form, route of administration etc in view of 505b2 with appropriate therapeutic rationales
- Ability to collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders at various levels across company to collect and validate information mainly from R&D and commercial teams. Design of market questionnaire for identified high value opportunity and conduct primary and secondary market survey to evaluate the market acceptability. This role also involves In-depth secondary market research which needs to be conducted in assessing the value of the opportunities.
