Job Description:
Project Manager (CRAMS)
RFx Management: RFP/RFQ: To support the business manager in
getting all the inputs related to procurement, manufacturing, CAPEX, QC, QA
departments. For major RFP. For critical and important RFP the PM has to go to
the plant to work out the details
SOP for RFx evaluation: To strictly follow the SOP for the “RFx
Evaluation” and abide by the templates, documents and SLAs (Service Level
Agreement) for receiving the data and submitting the proposal and pricing for
team’s review.
Proposal: To participate in the proposal review and make sure that
all the inputs provided by above-mentioned cross-functional departments are
included exactly.
Support the commercial negotiations: Support the Business team
manager during the various rounds of commercial negotiations with the innovator
customers. Derive a full cost structure and proposal to be shared with the customer.
Support internal : To support / coordinate to obtain test and
manufacturing license once project get awarded in stipulated time period
Project take-over once the project comes:
After the project win, complete the hand-over of the complete
project details, documents and templates from business manager with proper
justifications for all the key assumptions made in the pricing and proposal.
Proposal for scope change management:
To support the Business team to carry out the proposal preparation
activities for the “new scope” discussed and agreed with the clients (following
all the above steps).
Project Execution: For awarded projects, constitute the project
team in consultation with various departments and organize kick off meeting
(with customer or internally) to inform everyone about the objectives, scope,
deliverables and timeline of the project.
Organize and coordinate the periodic weekly reports and
teleconferences/WebEx with the customers for ongoing projects.
Monitor the project activities starting from procurement till
delivery.
Daily update from each department and track actual vs committed
timelines for each activity. Flag any unexpected delay to senior management.
To facilitate communication between customer and concerned
departments to respond in time any of the customer queries. Weekly mail
communication and bi weekly telecom. If required to get other stake holder from
the company to participate in the calls.
To monitor the budgeted Vs actual cost components during
execution. If scope changes occur due to customer requirements, to communicate
the same to customer as well as team and support in submitting the addendums to
the proposal. Coordinate for the invoicing and completion of the payment
process. To prepare the project closure reports and conduct project closure
meeting internally explaining the team about profitability of the project.
Coordinate customer visit for plant visit and audits. Ensure meeting all commitment
and deadline for the projects in OTIF Full responsibility for individual project
to respective BD Manager.
Education qualification:
M.Sc. (Organic, Industrial or analytical chemistry) or B.E.
(Chemical) or B. Pharma/M. Pharm. Preference of Chemical Engineer ( B.E ) if
available. PMP certification id preferred, however not mandatory. Experience of
at least 3-6 years in the same job profile preferably in CRO, CDMO or CMO
organizations (Small molecule API development and manufacturing) Understanding
of API development and manufacturing concepts (e. g. CDA, MSA, QMS, CMC DoE,
QBD, Batch strategy, raw material procurement, incoterms, etc.) Knowledge of
regulatory requirement for manufacturing of CRAMS projects. Well-versed with
databases, search engines, MS-WORD, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint and MS-Project
Fluency in spoken and written English language.
Experience: 3 to 6 years
