"Understanding the role of SARS-CoV-2 virulence factor-Orf3a in modulating
host cell responses: a way to identify host-directed therapy", GAP-208
Project
Outline: The project aims to characterize the virulence
factor-Orf3a of SARS-CoV-2 and how this protein regulates host cell responses.
The project would utilize experimental approaches in mammalian cell culture,
microscopy, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
Essential
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering or Technology or
Medicine from a recognized University or
equivalent with good academic record. The age limit is 35 years.
Prior
research experience/hands-on training in mammalian cell culture, microscopy,
molecular biology including cloning and data analysis skills is essential.
