Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright
candidates for engagement of Junior Research Fellow (Project staff) on
contractual basis in the research project funded by ‘DBT’ scheme, Government of
India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: Utilization of Rice Residues for
Value Added Product Development.

Qualifications:
Essential: M.Sc. degree in
chemistry/organic/inorganic/physical/polymer science with
NET/GATE/GPAT qualification.
Desirable: This project involves the synthesis of organic and
hybrid Nano catalyst for various catalytic applications in biomass conversion.
Hence, the experience in synthesis and characterization of organic/inorganic
compounds and catalysis will be preferred. Also, experience in electrochemistry
would be added advantage but not must.
Age limit: The upper age limit shall be 28 years as on 15.06.2020,
which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule
Castes/Schedule Tribes/, Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female
applicants whereas 3 years in case of OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates)
Salary: Rs. 31,000/- + 16 % HRA (total= 35,960/-) P.M
Duration: Initially for one year and may be extended based on
performance of the candidate.

General Terms and Conditions:
The position is purely temporary and
on contractual basis initially for one year and renewable subject to
satisfactory performance till the end of the project. The position is
co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also
apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
Due to prevailing condition the mode
of interview will be intimated by email.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending
the interview.

photocopies of these documents at the time of joining the institute.
