and Soft Condensed Matter at IISER Bhopal

are invited from Indian nationals for the post of a “JRF or SRF” in the research
area of Computational Biophysics/Biophysical Chemistry and Soft Condensed
Matter under the DST-SERB project No. SERB/CHM/2017030. Project description:
The project is highly interdisciplinary in nature, and will employ the
state-of-the-art multi-scale modeling and simulations (Molecular Dynamics/Monte
Carlo) of cell surface receptors (G-Protein Coupled Receptors) that are the
largest class of drug targets involved in cellular signaling processes.

be considered until a suitable candidate is found and the position is filled.
Minimum
qualifications:
•
MSc (or equivalent) in Physics, Chemistry (physical chemistry specialization is
preferred), Biophysics, Bioengineering or a related discipline from a recognized
University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or CPI of 7.0 and above at a
scale of 10.

Candidates must have Mathematics at the undergraduate (Bachelor) level.
•
Candidates must have qualified a national level exam (GATE, CSIR/UGC JRF, NET
LS or any other equivalent exam) with a valid rank/score at the time of
applying
for the post.
Desirables:
Candidates with computational physics/chemistry/biology experience, and sound
knowledge in computer programing in C/C++ or Python will be preferred.

Salary:
Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + 16 % HRA for JRF
Rs.
35,000/- p.m. + 16 % HRA for SRF Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated

selected candidate may have an opportunity to enroll in the PhD program of
IISER Bhopal, if found suitable.
