WWF-India Education Officer Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences or Ecology, a Diploma in Mass communication, B.Ed/ M.Ed

We believe that environmental education is a lifelong process to seek relevant solutions to environmental and social issues and we strive to strengthen individual and institutional capacity for nature conservation and environmental protection, by promoting education and awareness within the social structure.

Applications are invited from dynamic and self-motivated individuals, to join as an Education Officer.

Location: Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh State Office located in Bhopal.

Specific Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Lead and create environment education programme.

Interact with students and teachers of school and college.

Guiding school/college - level environmental projects and workshops
Conduct environmental events and nature camps within the state.

Prepare and present content and talks on nature, biodiversity and environment during school/college visits.

Plan, organize and conduct trainings for groups of volunteers on nature interpretation and conducting nature trails.

Work continually on research, development and improvement of content to be used during environment education programmes.

Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:

Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences or Ecology, a Diploma in Mass communication, B.Ed/ M.Ed is desirable;

Two year of experience in a similar role;

Good report writing, presentation skill & oratory abilities;

Willingness to travel extensively.

 Other Desired Skills:

An understanding of forest, wildlife, biodiversity and environmental issues;

Experience of conducting Environmental Campaigns within the country;

Fluency in English and Hindi languages is essential;

Energetic, proactive and capable of working positively in a team.
