Research Scientist Trainee
The Research
Scientist Trainee is expected to demonstrate expertise in both the theoretical
and practical aspects of organic chemistry. Principal responsibility is the
synthesis, purification, and identification of chemical intermediates and
target compounds.
1. Learn
various techniques in setting up reactions and purification of compounds by
flash chromatography, distillation and crystallization methods.
2. Under
supervisory direction, learn to synthesize known and new compounds efficiently
using literature or in-house notebook procedures.
3. Conduct
laboratory operations in a safe manner. Maintain familiarity with the Chemical
Hygiene Plan. Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices
4. Purify
synthesized chemicals to an appropriate degree. The scientist will be able to
use the full range of chromatographic, crystallization, and distillation
techniques.
5. Learn to
analyze and identify compounds using a good range of modern separation and
spectroscopic techniques. This will include interpretation of TLC, HPLC, mass
spec, polarimetry, IR, and NMR spectra of moderate complexity.

looking for fresh M.Sc Organic chemistry 2018/2019 pass outs to work as a
Trainee in our Synthetic R&D Lab.
