Advertisement for JRF/ Project Assistant

Applications are invited for one JRF/Project assistant position to work in India-UK Water Quality Programme that has been funded by Newton-Bhabha grant. The JRF will work in the project titled “Impact of rainwater harvesting in India on groundwater quality with specific reference to fluoride and micropollutants under the supervision of undersigned. The position is temporary and available immediately.

Positions: 1 (JRF/ Project Assistant).

Essential Qualifications:

1. B. Tech in Civil Engineering/ M. Tech in Environmental Engineering/Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering, or related. or
2. M.Sc./ B.Sc. in Environmental Science/Agriculture/Applied Geology/Chemistry, or related major.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in setting-up saturated/unsaturated column experiments in lab and its associated data processing, Experience with independent handling of ICP, IC, and other analytical equipments,

Expertise in using geochemical/transport models PHREEQC, Hydrus, SWAT and related.
Duration of the Contract: One year.

Emoluments: As per existing DST norms.
