Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate (RA-1) in the DBT project entitled “Genome engineering to upscale the production of a broad spectrum anti-fungal protein Bg_9562 in Escherischia coli”, and one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the NIPGR Short Term Fellowship Scheme under the supervision of Dr. Gopaljee Jha, Scientist, NIPGR.
Essential Qualification: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Test as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019/Institute norms and/or having doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in any discipline of Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biology or equivalent with good publication record are eligible to apply. Candidate having a prior work experience in molecular biology/bacterial genetics/ plant-microbe interactions and good publication track record will be preferred.
The fellowship amount for the above positions are at par with the similar fellowships by DST/DBT/Institute norms or as sanctioned in the project. The above positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project/scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project/scheme whichever is earlier, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving on month notice by either side.
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on September 13, 2019 (Friday) at 10:30 a.m. along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on September 13, 2019. Any candidate reporting after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in-interview.
Research Associate (RA-I) (one Post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT/Institute norms and as sanctioned in the project.

Candidate with prior work experience in the relevant field and having publication record will be preferred.
