The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun invites application from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Technical Assistant (01) for Project entitled “Atlas of colonial nesting waterbirds in the east coast states of India” purely on contractual basis. Details of the position along with essential and desirable qualifications and brief description of work are given below

Essential Qualification (EQ)  Bachelors’ Degree in any biological science discipline  with 60% aggregated marks and above from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualification (DQ)  Experience and interest in wildlife research and  conservation  Good command over written and spoken English  Computer knowledge in Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Age limit for the position is 32 years but age relaxation will be considered as per Government of India norms for reserved category candidates.
2. The candidate should report by 1000 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 20 September, 2019 followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs.
3. Application should be duly filled in the prescribed format, duly signed and should be accompanied by self-attested copies of documents on educational qualifications, research experience, UGC/CSIR/GATE certificate (if any), extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations, community certificate (if sought relaxation as per Government of India rules), etc.
4. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the written exam and personal interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written exam and personal interview.
5. At the time of the verification of original documents or even after selection, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, such applicant will not be considered for selection and due action will be taken.

7. The Director WII, reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason thereof.
