The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) - Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is a premier research centre carrying out frontier research in the biological sciences located in Bangalore, looking for appointment of a Junior Research Fellow on contract basis.

Job description:

We are seeking a JRF candidate for a period of one year to work with the animal facility on strengthening ongoing animal model experiments and capacity as a part of our research team. In particular, we are aiming to design and execute protocols using mice models to test vaccine/therapeutic efficacy as part of the dengue vaccine program. The candidate will be associated with the animal facility with the expectation to design and undertake experiments with several groups in a highly collaborative manner. The candidate should have a master’s degree in veterinary medicine/sciences or equivalent. Candidates with prior animal handling experience will be given preference but it is not mandatory.

Essential Qualification and Experience:

Master Degree in veterinary medicine/sciences or equivalent degree in related areas (Biological Science/Life Science/Pharmaceutical Science)
