DETAILS OF THE EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION

The University invites applications from Indian Nationals in the prescribed form for the following posts: Chair Professor 1. Information Technology : One post (UR) (Contractual) Objectives:  To promote excellence and leadership in teaching, research and development in the field of

· Information Technology  To facilitate deeper interaction between the University and industry

· Qualification:

Eligibility Criteria: An eminent scholar with consistently good academic record and a Ph. D. degree in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology with adequate evidence of knowledge and research in Information and Communication Technologies with a number of high quality research publications in reputed journal and / or publication of books.

Desirable Experience: The applicant should with an established record of teaching or industry experience, an exceptional record of published research in high quality journals, including guidance of Ph.D. students and demonstrated ability to attract significant research funding as well as having an ability to lead teams in multidisciplinary projects. The incumbent is also expected to serve as mentor to junior faculty members and to the students.

Desired Expertise: Artificial Intelligence / Data Science / Information Security / Internet of Things and other latest cutting edge technologies Appointment:  The faculty member "appointed against the Chair" will be called "JIS Chair Professor" and

· will receive a monthly salary  The "appointment" against the Chair will be normally made for a period of one year,

· extendable if performance is satisfactory.

Age & Other Criteria: No bar, retired person (less than 70 years) can apply

Pay : Rs. 1.00 lakh (consolidated)

 FILLING UP / SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM AND OTHER RELATED INSTRUCTIOS

1. Six copies of applications must be submitted together with recent passport size photographs, addressed to: The Registrar, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, BF-142, SectorI, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700064.

2. The soft copy of the filled in application form only (Word Format as provided) need to be sent to the following email: registrar.makaut@gmail.com The subject of the email should be: JIS Chair Professor

3. The hard copy of the Application must reach the office of the Registrar within along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, payable at Nadia.

4. Envelope must be properly superscribed with the post applied for as “Application for the post of JIS Chair Professor (Contractual)”

5. One set of self – attested photocopies of all relevant documents must be submitted along with the application.

6. Application forms submitted by the applicants must be properly filled in all respect and all the entries therein must be substantiated by supporting documents without which such applications would be treated as invalid. It is to be noted that applications without application fee would be rejected.
